Joke 343: Lawyer Deal

The devil visited a lawyer's office and made him an offer.

"I can arrange some things for you," the devil said. "I'll increase your income five-fold; your partners will love you; your clients will respect you; you'll have four months of vacation each year and live to be 100. All I require in return is that your wife's soul, your children's souls, and their children's souls will rot in hell for eternity."

The lawyer thought for a moment. "So, what's the catch?" he asked.

Vacation Next Week

I'll be out of town for all of next week, so the site will be a bit slower than normal. I have setup the daily office jokes so those will be here each day like always, but there will probably not be much else. I plan on going full steam right when I get back and hopefully get some more original content on here going forward.

New 'Holiday Bonus' Shirt Design

Holiday Bonus ShirtI've just added a new design to the Office Humor section of the SIAB GEAR store. This new design is specially made for the office jokesters out there as it reads "I was promised a holiday bonus and all I got was this stupid shirt."

If you've got some coworkers with a great sense of humor, or even if you just feel like giving out some gag gifts, this latest design is perfect for the holiday season. With everybody hoping for bonuses, giving out this shirt as a gag first will surely get more than a few laughs. You can also buy one for yourself and wear it around the office letting people know your frustration with not getting a bonus this year.

Two New Office Humor Designs

Thank God It's Not Monday Apparal
I've put up a couple new designs for you all to check out. Both are in the Office Gear section and both are fun work related acronyms.

The first design is the ever popular NSFW, which you all have probably come across if you spend enough time on the Web. It's the tag people place on images, posts, and links warning the visitor that the content may be "Not Safe For Work". With this NSFW design you can tell your office that you truly are not safe for work.

The second design is TGINM, a new acronym I came up with (though it's probably been done before). TGINM stands for "Thank God It's Not Monday" which is obviously a play on the TGIF (Thank God It's Friday) saying, though this new one works 6 out of 7 days so clearly it's better!

There is a Halloween Sale going on right now that will end 10/18/06, so make sure you do your shopping by then if you want to take advantage of the $10 off $50 promotion!

Downloadable Prank Forms

If you're looking for some fake forms to send to your boss to get out of work, you can check out these downloadable prank forms and see if anything there could work for you.

There's a fake army draft letter, fake love mail, and a few others that may make for some great excuses or at least for some fun office pranks.

SIAB GEAR Reopens

The Squirrelinabox Store has now become SIAB GEAR and along with the brand change, a new site for news as well as a new section for Television Gear have been created. Not only that, I'm currently running a grand reopening promotion with reduced prices on all items, which means all your favorite office humor gear is on sale as well.

Workrave Repetitive Strain Prevention Tool

If you think you work too much you can try downloading the Workrave, a program that alerts you when you should take breaks and get away from the computer to prevent Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).

You can set it up to alert you when it's time for micro-pauses, exercise breaks, rest breaks, and even specific exercise breaks. I think it could definitely be a great tool to help you "unplug" once in awhile, especially if you feel as if you sit in front of your computer for too long.

Funny Telemarketer Sound Clip

We all hate telemarketers right? Sorry if you are a telemarketer... but we do hate you. Anyway, we've all heard about the many ways of getting back at those annoying phone salesmen (and women) - leave the phone while they continue to pitch you their offer, ask them for their home phone, make funny noises, etc.

However, one of the best ideas is actually one that I just found and it involves transferring the telemarketers to a special extension that has a recording of you that makes it sound like you're very interested in whatever they're selling. You can check out the setup and download an actual call over at this website.

The download is pretty small, just under 300 kb (though the site says 600) and the clip is 1 minute 28 seconds long. The marketer tries selling a phone offer and keeps getting interrupted by the prankster's recording asking for more info. It's pretty damn funny and I hope they post more clips in the future.

Gender Poll Results

Well, I've ended the gender poll and the results show an exact 50-50 split. With 28 total votes, there were 14 for males and 14 for females. With the sampling being so small, it doesn't necessarily represent the readership well. However, it does show that there isn't a huge discrepancy between male and female readers.

I'll probably do the poll again in a few months, hopefully getting a better turnout. Thanks to all that did take the opportunity to vote!

Gender Poll To End Sunday

Well, as of writing this post, there have been 25 votes in the "What's Your Gender?" poll. Right now males are edging out females, but its too close to call just yet. I'll be ending the poll this Sunday night (8/20) at midnight PST so make sure you vote if you haven't yet. Once I close the poll, I'll post the results and think up a new poll.
