I apologize for the lack of posts during the last few months. Some of that was just an increased workload on my part as well as having to deal with hackers attacking my sites. If you want to read a bit more about the hacking issues, you can head on over to my Net Morality blog.
Anyway, I should be back into the full swing of things again here soon so rest assured that more office pranks, funny news, videos, and jokes are on the way. Until then, you may want to check out this office pranks roulette that I created on my new Activity Roulette website.
April Fool's Day is only a few weeks away - are you prepared? If not, let me try and help you out.
First off, you may want to check out my 4 office prank tips for April Fool's Day.
If you don't have any prank ideas, be sure to check out some of these office pranks, there's quite a few to choose from. Make sure you have all the supplies you need. If you're ordering online, you'll want to do it soon since you're running out of time. Nothing is worse than having an elaborate prank planned but then coming up short due to missing something you need at the last minute.
If you just want some really quick and simple gags you can also just pull up this Amazon search for pranks and see a bunch of quick and easy gags that should work great.
Like with all office pranks, you'll want to make sure you consider the consequences. Make sure your victim will take it well or that they at least have no influence over your position in the company.
Also, be sure to check out my April Fool's poem to read about my frustration with all the online foolishness that happens on April Fool's day.
Unfortunately, spam comments have increased significantly on this site during the last few weeks. As such, I've decided to add a capcha to the comment form that will require you to fill it out before submitting a comment. I know it's inconvenient, but I've been having to manually delete nearly a dozen of spam comments a day recently - and that's with anti spam plugins already installed.
Hopefully the capcha will cut down on spam and not discourage any of you from commenting.
If you're having a tough time making it to the end of your work day without dozing off, you may want to take a swim in the world's largest coffee, weighing in at a grand total of 2,010 gallons.
While it was obviously a publicity stunt, it's still quite a marvel that they created such a mammoth cup of coffee. The previous record was merely 911 gallons, so this new record holder more than double the previous mark.
File that under fear the caffeine crash.
November is here and that means retailers are starting to prepare themselves for the shopping season. The closer we get to Black Friday/Cyber Monday, the more we'll see some great deals posted to try and grab some early sales before the big after Thanksgiving shopping rush hits. As such, I'm going to be posting the latest and greatest deals for funny office related products under the banner Office Humor Deal Watch 2010. For now, I'd like to post some links to some great sites that I use to stay up-to-date on black friday sales.
- BFAds.net - This is my go-to website for the latest information on Black Friday sales. They post ad scans of most major retailers many weeks in advance so that you can best plan out your Black Friday shopping.
- Black-Friday.net - Similar to BFAds.net, Black-Friday.net posts holiday sales weeks in advance.
- BlackFriday.info - Yet another Black Friday dedicated website. Between the three I've posted, you should have no problem finding sales for whatever major retailer you're interested in.
- Amazon Gold Box - Amazon is doing a countdown to Black Friday every Friday until November 19. Basically they are posting even bigger sales each Friday than they normally do leading up to Black Friday.
Okay, so it's been over a year since I've updated this blog and I apologize for that. There's been quite a bunch of stuff going on in my personal and professional lives so this blog (and some of my other websites) have been put on the backburner. Well, today the posting drought ends.
If this post isn't enough evidence for you, the redesign of the website should hopefully show my commitment to this site. The previous design was quite awful to put it gently and while this new design isn't anything flashy, I think it's much cleaner as it removes a lot of the unnecessary elements that were cluttering up the site before.
If your boss asks you to put £1,000 in a safe place, where would you put it? Maybe an onsite safe? A tucked away drawer? Perhaps just hiding it in a closet somewhere in a box temporarily? Well, bartender Luke Woolston decided an oven would be a great place to hide some cash. Unfortunately, that oven was still on and the money burned up.
I actually like how the boss didn't make too big a deal about it considering the employee had worked there for a couple years without any problems. Of course, I'm sure the bartender wasn't let off the hook without at least some sort of screaming.
File that under burn baby burn.
As you've already noticed, Office Humor Blog has recently received a new coat of paint. I've ditched the 800x600 compliant layout for a larger 1024 width compliant layout. This has allowed me to add some newer features (such as recent comments) as well as push the main content higher up on the page. I plan on adding even more features to the site in the coming days, so keep yours eyes peeled.
Did you know that you can easily subscribe to all the great office humor posts you see here using this RSS feed? Don't know exactly what an RSS feed is or why you should subscribe? Well, if you use My Yahoo, Bloglines, Google's newly renamed iGoogle, or any other blog/feed reader, you can take the Office Humor Blog feed link posted above and have all the jokes, pranks, news, videos, and more right there on your feed reading program/webpage.
Of course, if that all sounds incredibly complicated and confusing, there are some convenient short cut links on the bottom of the right panel here that will allow you to quickly and easily add Office Humor Blog posts to your favorite feed sites.

I've added a new design to the Office Gear section of the SIAB GEAR store - Disgruntled. The design is featured on all the popular products, shirts, hats, mugs - even the teddy bear.
The grey used in the design looks incredibly good on the white background products as well as on the darkest colored shirts. Some of the lighter colored shirts (light red, light blue, etc) don't look nearly as sharp in my opinion. But, like I said, that's just my opinion so make sure head on over to the store and decide for yourself.
