Humorous Resume Lies

Sometimes you may think your resume needs a little spicing up with the help of a fib or two. If that’s the case, you may want to make sure your lies aren’t quite as noticable as the ones found in this list.

A few examples include, claiming to be a CEO when they were making hourly wages, inventing a school that doesn’t exist, and listing military experience that dated back to before the candidate was born. I’ve had to look through numerous resumes myself and one thing people seem to keep lying about is the amount of experience they have with the specific technology that the job requires. It’s quite amazing how often they put that they have worked with the technology for longer than it has even existed. Don’t know about you, but that’s seems like a bit of a give away to me.

File that under false advertising.
