Professor’s Prank Got Him Fired

Office pranks rarely result in somebody being fired, but school pranks aren’t quite the same. Reid Hyams, a Columbia College professor, found this out the hard way when he was fired for leaving a note on a coworker’s door that read “Jack sucks donkey c***.”. It should be noted that he is claiming his original note says “Jack sucks donkey d***”.

I’m on the fence with this one as it’s always a shame to see people get in trouble for trying to have some fun at the workplace. Of course, we don’t know if the note was meant to be a harmless prank or a mean-spirited attack, so the jury is still out on that one. In a school setting, you’re really not able to get awhile with quite as much and Hyams definitely should have known that.

File that under “getting fired sucks donkey balls.”
