Straight out of the “no duh” department, it appears many American workers show up late to work. The linked article talks about a survey that shows 15-20% of the U.S. population is “consistenty late” (whatever that means).
It gets worse. Apparently CEOs are late 8 out of every 10 meetings. How does that impact the economy? Well, according to the article, with CEOs averaging being late by 10 minutes each day, the U.S. economy loses $90 billion in productivity.
The end of the article offers up some brilliant tips for avoiding being late - such as getting out the door and learning to tell time (no joke, those are two of the “Tips for Tackling Tardiness”).
File that under showing up late ain’t so great.
