Workers Rather Not Attend Holiday Office Parties

Apparently it’s news that most workers would rather have the day off than have to attend their office holiday party. Actually, the article says that about three out of four would prefer the day off, so I guess it’s news that it’s not more like nine out of ten, or 99 out of 100.

Also, the article points out that on average, people spend 60% of their waking hours at work. I had never done the math myself, but that’s just depressing. Factor in some fun Southern California traffic and you’ve really probably got only like an hour left to eat and get ready for bed.

File that under bribed with holiday bonus promises.

    9 out of 10 is 90 out of 100, not 99 out of 100…

    I didn’t say 9 out of 10 was 99 out of 100. I was saying that it’s surprising that it’s not 9 out of 10, or even worse, 99 out of 100.
