Loading ...Ouch. Well, it looks like my web host was actually out of comission for at least 8 hours today. Yeah, my entire web host, not just my sites. Let me just say now that my web host SeekDotNet SUCKS.
I have had countless problems with them and today’s 8+ hours of downtime for ALL of my sites was the last straw. Ok, so I actually had already decided to move hosts before today’s fiasco, but now I’ll be doing the site moves earlier than I had planned.
I’ll announce here before I do the move as there will be a bit of downtime while I make the switch. I’m not sure exactly when it will happen yet, though this weekend looks like a good time to shoot for.
The host I’ll probably switch to doesn’t have asp.net hosting, so I’ll actually have to split up my sites onto 2 different hosts, one for my .Net sites and one for my blogs and other non .Net sites. I’m sure this is all completely boring the heck out of you so I guess I’ll stop rambling now.
I do want to reiterate how CRAPPY SeekDotNet hosting is. They are very cheap, which is good, but there service and support are HORRIBLE. Stay as far away from them as possible.

I absolutely agree. First tremendous database problems and now the whole website down. Can you recommend me a better ASP hosting company.

Unfortunately I do not know of any great ASP hosting companies. I actually still use SeekDotNet for my ASP.Net hosting and haven’t had too many problems. I did move all my blogs and non ASP.Net sites to Dreamhost though. Dreamhost has been awesome for that.
I’ll probably be going with a dedicated host soon for my ASP.Net sites.
