Loading ...Well, apparently there is some justice in the world because an Iowa based ISP successfully sued a spammer for $11.2 billion. Will this stop the endless amounts of spam out there? No. Will it even make a dent? Probably not but it can’t hurt to throw large price tags on creating email spam.
I used to work for a company that actually put all employee email addresses on the company website… ALL employee email addresses. This meant all developers, sales people, support… and what did that do? That made it so the entire company constantly got bombarded with spam emails. Many times it slowed or even took down the mail servers. Granted, the company wasn’t too bright in putting all our emails on the public website, but wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to fear putting your email online?
