This diversion is very simple but does require you to have music that can be played publicly.

Requirements:

• Either a radio or some way of playing music randomly for everybody to hear.

Description:

At the beginning of the day have all your coworkers choose a band that they think will be played the most on whatever music device you use. If you are using the radio, you can instead choose a single song that will be played the most since many new songs are played more than three times a day.

Write down everybody's picks on something. The best is an openly visible place, such as on a whiteboard. While listening to music put a tally next to the band or song when it comes up. At the end of the day whoever has the most tallies wins. You can stretch this to be a week long thing instead of a day.

Using a radio is the best device for this, though playlists on computers can work also. This is a very simple little diversion but it does bring in a little bit of competition. You can also put something on the line, whether it be money, lunch, or even some tiny trophy, just to spice it up a bit.
