Loading ...Similar to the icon prank, this prank is quite easy to pull of while also having the potential for getting a great reaction. With this prank, you’ll dumbfound your coworker as he or she is unable to get their mouse to move their cursor correctly.
Requirements:
- Time (low) - less than 5 minutes, unless you are VERY slow.
- Cost (low) - all this one costs is a piece of tape.
- Risk (low) - this prank takes just about no time to pull off and does no damage at all (unless there is a problem with the tape afterwards).
Steps:
- Grab a piece of scotch tape.
- Place the scotch tape on the bottom of your coworker’s mouse when they aren’t looking. If they have a laser mouse, put it over the laser. If they have a mouse with a ball, place the tape so that it holds the ball up into the mouse.
Result:
Well, that’s it actually. A nice and quick one to try out. What will happen with mice with balls is that the cursor won’t move at all since the ball won’t spin at all. With laser mice, the results will vary. Sometimes the cursor won’t move at all, while other times it will jump around sporadically as the light comes out inconsistently. Your coworker will probably check the mouse right away, so this will only really work if you’re lucky and they don’t notice the tape, or if they don’t try to check the bottom of the mouse at all.
